About this role

Personal Assistant / Companion – Central London (Temporary Contract)

We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and engaging Personal Assistant/Companion to support a male client who will be based in Central London for approximately 6–7 weeks while undergoing specialist medical treatment.

The client will be receiving care at the Cleveland Clinic London and has a combination of orthopaedic, ENT (ear, nose and throat), maxillofacial, and cognitive injuries. This is a non-clinical companionship role designed to provide practical support, social interaction, and assistance with leisure activities. We are seeking candidates with a full UK driving licence.

Shift Details:

  • Temporary position for approximately 6–7 weeks with the potential to extend
  • 2–3 days per week, with the possibility of additional ad hoc days
  • Based in Central London

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide friendly, professional companionship and emotional support.
  • Accompany the client to hospital appointments when appropriate.
  • Support the client on leisure outings, including museums
  • Engage in shared interests such as gaming, conversation, and other enjoyable activities.
  • Encourage independence, confidence, and social engagement.
  • Help create a safe, positive, and enjoyable environment throughout the client's stay in London.

About You:

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Warm, approachable, and empathetic.
  • Patient, calm, and adaptable.
  • Confident working independently in a one-to-one setting.
  • Reliable, punctual, and professional.
  • An excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Able to build genuine rapport while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries.
  • Must have a UK driving licence.

Previous experience supporting individuals with cognitive or physical disabilities, rehabilitation, healthcare, support work, or personal assistance is desirable but not essential. *Please note we are recruiting a male Support Worker due to a genuine occupational requirement of the person we support therefore this role is exempt from the Equality Act 2010 Part Schedule 9
