You’ll be right there alongside him, sharing memories, joining holidays (with travel and accommodation included), and building a genuine partnership that makes this role truly special.

Our client has a C4 spinal cord injury and a tracheostomy in situ, so this role involves providing high-quality personal care alongside specialist clinical support. Full training will be provided, with staff required to complete clinical competencies and be observed and assessed as competent before undertaking these tasks independently.

Clinical competencies include:

• Tracheostomy care and tracheostomy changes
• Tracheostomy suction
• Nebuliser and Airvo
• Cough Assist
• Bladder washouts
• Pulse oximetry
• Oxygen administration in an emergency
• Neurogenic bowel management
• Moving and handling using a hoist, with support from two Support Workers

A full UK driving licence is essential, as you’ll help him stay mobile — from local outings to road trips that bring joy and freedom.

This is a contracted position (36 hours per week).

What You’ll Be Doing

• Coordinating rotas and mentoring your team
• Providing hands-on support with personal care, medication and clinical needs
• Supporting the delivery of specialist clinical care once competencies have been completed
• Ensuring routines and care plans are followed consistently
• Communicating with family members, health professionals and the Care Manager
• Supporting and encouraging the client to remain independent and enjoy the things that matter to him
• Sharing everyday moments — and extraordinary ones — that make a real difference

Hours

• Contracted 36 hours per week
• Shifts: Days (8am–8pm) and Nights (8pm–8am)
• Weekend availability required
