About the role:

This role is to support an 8 year old little girl with complex health needs in her family home, where she lives with her mum and dad and two dogs.

She has complex needs including cerebral palsy, epilepsy, gastrostomy tube and she is non-verbal. We are looking for enthusiastic people with a real “Can-Do” attitude to join our support team to assist with play, therapy & care.

Our 8-year-old client is non-ambulant but walks with a walker, is non-verbal, but understands everything! She has a high level of receptive and expressive language using different methods of communication, including eye-gaze, PODD book, partner assisted scanning and switches. She is an adrenaline junkie, has a great sense of humour, loves to cause mischief & laugh out loud! This role is primarily about play & adventure – letting your imagination loose & adapting activities to suit client needs.

Shifts:

• Weekends
• with flexiblity to cover weekday shifts when needed

In this role, you’ll support one individual with complex needs as part of a consistent care team, with regular weekly shifts and rotas planned in advance. While the role is offered on a flexible zero-hours contract, the work is ongoing and typically provides a stable working pattern with the same client.
