About this role

*Female Support Worker required to work with a young lady with cerebral palsy in her own home in the Tredegar area of South Wales.  The role is to work within a team providing personal care and practical support to ensure the safety and promote wellbeing of the client.  

You will also facilitate the client’s independence by adopting the appropriate approach as advised by the case manager and therapists and in consultation with the client.

We require a support worker who has a positive and caring attitude and a commitment to supporting and promoting the clients individual needs, skills, abilities and personal goals.

*Please note we are recruiting a Female Support Worker due to a genuine occupational requirement of the person we support therefore this role is exempt from the Equality Act 2010 Part Schedule 9

NVQ Level 2 in care or equivalent or previous experience in care is essential.

A full driving licence is desirable

Hours – 20 hours per week.

To be able to work flexibly within a rota which will be agile across a month. Regular hours may occur due the nature of shift patterns however, no set days are to be relied upon.

£14.50 per hour 

This position requires a fully enhanced disclosure request from the DBS.

You will also be required to register with the DBS Update Service.
