Please note you will support one individual with complex needs, working regular weekly shifts to build a consistent, trusted care team. While hours are usually stable, the position is offered on a zero-hours contract as care packages can change.

We are looking for a *Female Registered Nurse to join a team of nurses who support a young adult female client in her home and the community. Our client is a medically complex young female who needs support around the clock to ensure her needs are met. Whilst our client is medically complex, her family and our care team are very knowledgeable and will support you fully to integrate into the team and routine. Our client lives at home with her family and her pet dog, she has a love for horses and films, she enjoys socialising including going out for coffee and the cinema.

What you will be working:

A range of shifts are available to help support within the client's package of care;

She has support from nursing staff almost all of the time and requires 2:1 care during the day and overnight.

Shifts will be 08.00 - 20.00 / 20.00 - 08.00 - Waking Nights

What you will be doing:

Providing support to a young adult female client in her home and in the community as necessary.

Promoting independence where appropriate and providing personal care.

Our client also has a variety of medical needs, including:

  • Trache care
  • Spinal injury
  • ABI
  • Type 2 Diabetes
  • Challenging Behaviours

What you'll have:

  • A current NMC Pin registration (Registered Nurse)
  • A legal right to work in the UK
  • Own vehicle with work insurance - due to location of the family home
  • Must be a *female
  • Experience in ITU / HDU essential
  • Experience in Acquired brain injury is advantageous
  • This role requires a confident, experienced nurse who is proactive and excellent at building relationships and maintaining boundaries

*Please note we are recruiting a Female Nurse due to a genuine occupational requirement of the person we support therefore this role is exempt from the Equality Act 2010 Part 1 Schedule 9
