We'd like you to join us as a Chef at our service Kingly House in Hinckley.

Kingly House is a residential house in Leicestershire providing accommodation, rehabilitation and support for up to 17 adults. We're committed to helping every person we support feel safe, happy, empowered enabling them to live the best life possible.

What you'll be working:

We have both full time and part time to choose from.

  • Full time - 40hrs per week
  • Salary: £28,428.36 FTE Per Annum (Pro rata)
  • Running the full kitchen
  • Duties including Cleaning, stock control, pot washing and putting orders away.
  • Be able to work on your on.
  • Ideally have care home experience care

What you'll be doing:

  • To support the smooth and efficient operation of the kitchen to ensure the centre’s reputation for food quality is always maintained.
  • To prepare, cook and present food for the service users, ensuring any special dietary requirements are provided and that this is to the standards required by the company and service users.
  • To ensure that the centre’s reputation for food quality and service is enhanced with everyone that uses the facility.
  • To drive and maintain the highest standards of food safety and hygiene, liaising with Environmental Health inspectors if necessary.
  • Ensuring the centre meets all relevant legislation on food preparation and handling, including observance of the HACCP and Safer Food Better Business Principals as well as COSHH
  • Inspecting dishes for quality, temperature and attractiveness before serving.
  • Maintaining records relating to food production activities and supplies information as required by the Head of Support Services.
  • To work to planned menus.
  • To avoid unnecessary wastage and deterioration of foodstuffs.
  • To promote good relationships with staff, visitors and service users.
  • To maintain a clean environment, washing up and adhering to cleaning schedules.
