We have an amazing opportunity for Maintenance Manager to join our caring and support team at our Hothfield Brain Injury Rehabilitation and Neurological Care Centre, our specialist centre in Kent, we look after adults with a brain injury or other neurological condition.
Set within the 12 acre grounds of a manor house, we specialise in intensive rehabilitation for people in the early stages of recovery from a brain injury right through to residential care.
What you'll be working:
Full time
37.5 hours per week
8 hour shifts from 8am - 4pm or 10am - 6pm
5 days out of 7 inclusive of weekdays, weekends and bank holidays.
Salary - Depending on experience
What you'll be doing:
- Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the building including painting and decorating, repairs to fixtures and fittings and furniture, routine testing of the security and Fire Detection equipment, Emergency Lighting and Fire Exits, monitoring of gas and electricity systems, water systems and sewage systems, carrying our safety inspections on electrical equipment and maintaining inventory records for the same.
- To carry out role in accordance with the Estates manual and all policies and procedures.
- Responsible for the safety of the building and carrying out regular audits and inspections.
- Line manages the maintenance team ensuring roles are carried out safely and in a timely manner.
- With the Registered Manager ensure that the physical environment is safe, comfortable, and accessible to all patients / residents / young people, visitors and colleagues.
- Take personal responsibility for ensuring that ACG resources are used efficiently and with minimum wastage.
- Make sure colleagues are aware of the mechanisms for speaking up in ACG and act where required.
- Maintain their own training compliance with and ensure they are up to date with regulatory standards.
- Adherence to all Group policies and procedures and ensuring that all colleagues in the service are aware of and understand company policies.
What we would like from you:
- At least one year of building maintenance, construction, plumbing, or electrician experience is strongly preferred, but not required.
- A certification in building maintenance is a plus.
- A driver’s license and a clean driving record. (preferred)
- A willingness and keenness to assist.
- Friendly and helpful approach.
- Ability to work with the team or on own dependant on task.
- Attention to detail and an ability to express this is the required manner.
- Drive and determination to do a good job.
