We are looking for a compassionate, reliable Female Support Worker to support a delightful 20-year-old young woman with complex care needs (Kyphoscoliosis) in her own home in Haverfordwest.

She enjoys a calm environment and appreciates spending time reading, watching films and engaging in relaxed activities. This is a rewarding one-to-one role where you’ll have the opportunity to build a positive, professional relationship and provide person-centred care that helps her live safely and comfortably at home.

About the Role

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with evening routines and spending quality time with the client through quiet activities such as reading or watching films.

  • Maintaining the client’s safety, comfort and wellbeing throughout your shift.

  • Working closely with the wider care team while maintaining professional boundaries.

Working in the Family Home

This role is based within a private family home where there are well-established household routines and expectations. The family are closely involved in the client’s care and value consistency, professionalism and high standards of infection prevention.

Support Workers will be expected to:

  • Wear a face mask whilst working in the home.

  • Change into indoor footwear (such as clean slippers or house shoes) whilst on shift.

  • Respect the family’s established routines and work collaboratively within them.

This role is well suited to someone who is adaptable, professional and comfortable working within a structured home environment.

Hours

  • 12-hour day shifts (9:00am – 9:00pm)

  • Monthly scheduling – tell us your availability and we’ll work with you.

  • Applicants willing to travel up to one hour are encouraged to apply.

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Kind, patient and compassionate.

  • Calm, professional and respectful.

  • Flexible and reliable.

  • Confident working independently in a one-to-one setting.

  • Comfortable following clear routines and guidance.

  • Passionate about supporting people to maximise their independence and quality of life.

  • Respectful of different cultures, beliefs and family values.

What we offer

  • Up to £14.00 per hour depending on qualifications.

  • £100 Welcome Bonus after successfully completing 3 months.

  • Excellent clinical and mandatory training through our Learning Hub.

  • Paid DBS.

  • Regular, consistent work with rolling rotas.

  • Accrued holiday pay.

  • NEST Pension.

  • Active Awards recognition programme.

  • Refer a Friend Scheme – earn up to £1,000.

  • Ongoing support from our experienced clinical and operational teams with opportunities to develop your career.

If you’re looking for a role where your compassion, professionalism and consistency will have a genuine impact on someone’s everyday life, we’d love to hear from you.
