Children's Support Worker – Before & After School (Complex Care)

Northwich | 36 Hours per Week | Mornings & Afternoons | Zero-Hours Contract

Are you looking for a rewarding one-to-one role where you can make a lasting difference to a child's life?

Do you enjoy building meaningful relationships and providing person-centred care that helps children thrive in the comfort of their own home?

At Active Care in the Home, we're growing our specialist children's services and are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Children's Support Worker to join a new care team supporting a wonderful 9-year-old girl with complex healthcare needs in her family home in Northwich.

This is an opportunity to become part of a consistent, trusted team that supports not only her clinical needs but also her independence, wellbeing and daily routines. By providing reliable, personalised care before and after school, you'll help her enjoy each day while giving her family valuable support and reassurance.

About the Role

Working on a one-to-one basis, you'll provide high-quality, person-centred care tailored to our young client's individual needs and preferences. You'll support her morning and after-school routines, helping her prepare for the day ahead and ensuring she is comfortable, safe and well cared for when she returns home.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting with PEG feeding
  • Administering medication
  • Oral suctioning
  • Oxygen therapy
  • Catheter care
  • Promoting comfort, dignity and wellbeing through compassionate, individualised care
  • Building a positive, trusting relationship with our client and her family

Working Pattern

  • Approximately 36 hours per week
  • Morning and afternoon shifts before and after school
  • Opportunity for additional hours during the school day as the care package develops
