We have an exciting opportunity for a Junior Data Miner to join our growing Commercial Team.
This role is ideal for someone who is organised, curious and enjoys researching and gathering information to support business growth. You will play an important role in helping the Commercial Team identify opportunities, maintain accurate records and provide valuable market insights across the health and care sector.
Working closely with the Chief Commercial Officer, Commercial Team and wider business teams, you will support the identification of new opportunities, maintain key information databases and contribute to the successful delivery of commercial objectives. The role will likely evolve through achieved milestones, offering opportunities to be involved in other areas of the commercial team.
What you'll be working:
Below are our standard working hours but if you are looking for different working hours please feel free to talk to us and we will be as flexible we can around the needs of the service.
- Monday to Friday
- Full-time - 37.5 hours per week
- Flexible, remote or hybrid working options available (hybrid option at our Waterloo office)
- Occasional travel will be required for team meetings in our Waterloo office
What you'll be doing:
Some of the main roles and responsibilities include:
- Researching organisations, healthcare providers, commissioners and key stakeholders.
- Gathering information from publicly available sources including company websites, framework portals, industry publications and professional networking platforms.
- Identifying potential business opportunities and supporting the Commercial Team with market intelligence.
- Building and maintaining accurate databases, trackers and contact lists.
- Monitoring market activity, procurement opportunities and sector developments.
- Preparing concise summaries and reports for internal stakeholders.
- Supporting business development activities through effective information gathering and organisation.
- Maintaining accurate records within CRM systems and internal tracking tools.
- Assisting with opportunity tracking and pipeline management.
- Ensuring all information collected is accurate, relevant and up to date.
- Supporting commercial projects and initiatives as required.
What you'll have:
Essential
- Strong research and information-gathering skills.
- Healthcare sector experience.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good organisational and time-management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- Confidence using Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Professional, proactive and reliable approach to work.
Desirable
- Experience working in an administrative, commercial support or research-based role.
- Experience using CRM systems.
- Knowledge of the health and social care sector.
- Familiarity with procurement portals, frameworks or business development processes.
- Experience using professional networking platforms such as LinkedIn.
