Do you enjoy making a positive difference in the lives of children and young people? We're looking for compassionate and reliable individuals to join our team, supporting children with complex health and care needs in their family homes across Hailsham, Eastbourne and Pevensey.

As a Children's Support Worker, you'll play a vital role in helping children and young people live fulfilling lives, both at home and in their local communities.

What You'll Be Doing

You will provide person-centred support to children and young people with a range of needs, including:

  • Complex clinical needs
  • Autism
  • Epilepsy
  • ADHD
  • Behaviours that may challenge

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting children in their family homes
  • Assisting with daily routines and activities
  • Encouraging independence and social engagement
  • Accompanying children on community outings and activities
  • Building positive relationships with children and their families

This role offers the opportunity to make a genuine difference while working as part of a dedicated and supportive team.

Shifts Available

We are looking for candidates who can offer flexibility across weekdays and weekends.

Typical shifts include:

  • Weekday evenings: 3:30pm–6:30pm or 4:00pm–8:00pm
  • Occasional weekday mornings: 6:30am–8:00am
  • Occasional Saturdays: 8:30am–5:30pm or 9:30am–6:00pm
  • Occasional Sundays: 10:00am–4:00pm

Monthly rotas are provided in advance, giving you visibility of your shifts well ahead of time.

While this role is offered on a zero-hours contract, it typically involves regular weekly shifts, allowing you to build consistent relationships with the children and families you support.

About You

We're looking for caring, patient and dependable individuals who are passionate about supporting children and young people. Previous care experience is beneficial, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are equally important, as full training will be provided.
