We have a wonderful opportunity for a Registered Manager to join our team at our Park House Neurological Rehabilitation Service in Bedfordshire. Park House is a service providing accommodation for 14 adult residents.

The team at Park House work together to develop person-centred, evidence-based rehabilitation care plans that aim to maximise the individual’s independence and recovery. The service is all wheelchair accessible and includes a wheelchair accessible lift, training kitchen and garden.

We look to build on our residents' progress and provide them with key life skills, with each resident having access to a multidisciplinary care team consisting of a Rehabilitation Medicine Consultant, Physiotherapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and a Psychologist as required.

What you'll be working:

  • 37.5 hours per week
  • Monday-Friday or as required to meet the needs of the service. As Registered Manager, there is an expectation to be available outside of these hours in an emergency.
  • Salary: £46,000 FTE) Per annum (Pro rata)

What you'll be doing:

  • Ensuring individuals needs are met.
  • Ensuring business objectives are met
  • Responsible for keeping up-to-date with any changes or new legislation affecting the provision of services.
  • Delivery of training for inductees and existing employees, as required.
  • Facilitate CQC inspections to ensure 100% compliant.
  • Responsible for ensuring the service has the required level of resources to support the individuals. Including ensuring that the service is fully staffed according to agreed levels.
  • Maintain the staffing provision using the rostering system.
  • Monitor service quality, utilising all care and business systems to ensure full compliance with all relevant legislation, in line with organisational, regulatory and legal requirements.
  • Support Quality Assurance activities of own and other services, achieving 100% compliance.
  • Acting as a representative of Active Care Group at all times.
  • Liaising with external stakeholders, including medical professionals, care managers, families, advocates, therapists, and prospective individuals.
  • Supporting referrals activities - including service visits and assessments.
  • Support individuals' ongoing medical needs.
  • Support individuals who may require behaviour management.

What you'll have:

  • Previous experience as a Registered Manager within a similar setting.
  • Experience in managing a team of support Workers and Therapists.
  • QCF or NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social Care or a qualification as a nurse or therapist.
  • Good leadership skills.
  • Excellent understanding of the relevant regulatory framework, regulations and legislation.
  • Excellent analytical and budgetary skills.
  • Demonstrate experience in coaching and developing colleagues.
  • Strong organisational, time management, planning and communication skills.
  • Proven reliability in terms of full attendance and timekeeping.
  • Self-confidence and ability to manage challenging situations
