About this role
Would you love a rewarding role where you can make a genuine difference to someone's life, supporting one individual in the comfort of his own home?
Come and join Active Care Group, one of the UK's leading providers of complex care, and become part of a dedicated team making a positive impact every day.
We are looking for kind, compassionate and reliable Support Workers to join an established care team supporting a gentleman in his 30s who lives in East Preston (BN16, West Sussex).
Meet our client:
Following a road traffic accident, our client sustained a brain injury and now requires support with all aspects of his daily care. This is a fantastic opportunity to build a meaningful relationship with one individual, get to know his personality and interests, and help him enjoy an active and fulfilling lifestyle.
Our client is a cheerful, polite and easy-going gentleman with a wonderfully cheeky sense of humour! Although his verbal communication is limited, he can say a few words and enjoys the company of positive, friendly people who take the time to understand him.
He certainly enjoys keeping busy! He's a big fan of rugby, football and, of course, Kylie Minogue! He loves getting out and about, whether that's attending concerts, visiting the cinema or enjoying other social activities.
Shifts Available :
- Day Shifts: 8:00am – 8:00pm
In this role, you’ll support one individual with complex needs as part of a consistent care team, with regular weekly shifts and rotas planned in advance. While the role is offered on a flexible zero-hours contract, the work is ongoing and typically provides a stable working pattern with the same client.
What you'll be doing:
As a Support Worker, you'll provide person-centred care and support, helping our client with:
- Full personal care and support with daily living.
- Assistance with regular physiotherapy.
- Support with hydrotherapy sessions in his own on-site swimming pool.
- Some overnight clinical tasks (don't worry – full training will be provided, and previous clinical experience isn't essential).
You'll be working as part of a consistent team, getting to know one individual and making a real difference to his everyday life.
What to look forward to:
- up to £14.00 per hour (dependent on experience)
- Full specialist training, shadow shifts, and ongoing support from the Care Manager provided
- Accrued holiday pay
- Regular consistent work with rolling rotas
- Flexible zero hours contract
- Join the Active Learning Hub and benefit from a wide range of e learning and face to face training and development opportunities
- A Nest Personal Pension account
- We recognise outstanding Active Behaviours via the Active Awards programme
- Refer a Friend Scheme and earn yourself up to £1,500 by recommending someone you know
- ……and, of course, the support and guidance of our qualified clinical and business leadership teams so that you can really develop your career with Active Care Group
At Active Care Group we want everyone to feel welcome and supported. We encourage applications from people of all backgrounds and experiences. If you need any reasonable adjustments during the recruitment or interview process, just let us know and we’d be very happy to discuss this with you.
