Lead, Innovate and Shape the Future of Neurorehabilitation
Join one of the UK’s largest providers of complex care and make a lasting difference as our Physiotherapy lead.
At Active Neuro, we believe in pushing boundaries, embracing innovation and helping people achieve more than they ever thought possible.
As one of the UK’s largest providers of complex care, with over 4,000 dedicated colleagues, we’re passionate about delivering exceptional care and rehabilitation that truly changes lives. Whatever your background or experience, there’s a place for people who share our commitment to making a difference.
We’re now looking for an ambitious, forward-thinking Physiotherapist who is ready to take the next step in their career. Someone who sees possibilities where others see challenges, is passionate about clinical excellence and wants to play a pivotal role in shaping an outstanding neurorehabilitation service.
This is more than a leadership role — it’s an opportunity to help build something exceptional.
Be part of something exciting
You’ll be joining us at a pivotal time, with significant investment taking place across our neurorehabilitation division. Working closely with the Head of Therapies, you’ll have the opportunity to influence the development of the physiotherapy service, inspire the wider therapy team and help shape the future direction of the centre.
One of the most exciting developments coming soon is our brand-new, purpose-built, state-of-the-art neurorehabilitation gym. Designed to support innovative, intensive and goal-oriented rehabilitation, this cutting-edge facility will bring together advanced technology, robotics and specialist equipment to help maximise patient outcomes. You’ll have the opportunity to play a key role in bringing this vision to life, helping shape how the facility is used and ensuring our approach to rehabilitation continues to evolve.
We have specialist technology, including the Luna EMG Premium and ExoMotus M4, giving you access to innovative rehabilitation equipment and new opportunities to support people living with complex neurological conditions.
If you’re passionate about developing people, driving clinical standards and exploring new ways to achieve meaningful rehabilitation outcomes, this is your chance to make a real impact.
The role: Lead with purpose
As we transition to our Active Neuro model, our therapy service is evolving towards a seven-day model of care, ensuring our clients receive the right support when they need it.
As a key member of the team, you’ll lead the day-to-day delivery and development of our physiotherapy service across both inpatient and outpatient settings. You’ll combine your advanced clinical expertise with strong leadership skills, supporting your team to deliver personalised, evidence-based rehabilitation and achieve the best possible outcomes.
You’ll have the opportunity to influence service development, champion new approaches and create an environment where both colleagues and the people we support can thrive.
This is an opportunity for a physiotherapist who wants to combine clinical excellence with leadership, innovation and the chance to make a lasting difference.
What you’ll be doing
- Lead and inspire: Oversee the day-to-day delivery of the physiotherapy service, coordinating and evaluating care across inpatient and outpatient settings while supporting your team to achieve shared goals.
- Deliver exceptional clinical care: Use advanced clinical reasoning and evidence-based practice to assess and treat people with a wide range of complex neurological presentations.
- Drive meaningful outcomes: Establish clinical diagnoses and develop holistic, personalised treatment plans with SMART goals, working in partnership with each person and the wider multidisciplinary team.
- Champion clinical excellence: Use appropriate outcome measures to evaluate progress, demonstrate clinical effectiveness and continually improve the quality of rehabilitation.
- Develop your team: Provide day-to-day leadership, supervision, training and professional development, ensuring colleagues feel supported and work safely within their competencies.
- Shape the future of rehabilitation: Work alongside the Head of Therapies to influence service development, embrace innovation and help maximise the potential of our new rehabilitation gym and specialist technology.
- Build strong partnerships: Communicate effectively with residents, families, the multidisciplinary team and wider colleagues at Hunters Moor, as well as commissioners and external agencies.
- Collaborate and influence: Work closely with the Therapy Manager, MDT and Service Manager to drive service improvements and maintain outstanding standards of care.
- Keep learning and evolving: Maintain your continuing professional development (CPD) and ensure your skills and knowledge continue to meet the changing needs of the service.
- Put people first: Champion safety, dignity, choice and human rights, ensuring every person receives compassionate, respectful and person-centred care.
Working together to deliver seven-day rehabilitation
As part of our evolving Active Neuro service, occasional pre-arranged weekend working will be required to support our seven-day model of care. You’ll also be expected to work Bank Holidays when required by the service, with enhanced pay provided in line with company policy.
