Head of Housekeeping

We have an amazing opportunity for a Head Housekeeper to join our caring and support team at our Hothfield Brain Injury Rehabilitation and Neurological Care Centre, our specialist centre in Kent, we look after adults with a brain injury or other neurological condition.

Set within the 12 acre grounds of a manor house, we specialise in intensive rehabilitation for people in the early stages of recovery from a brain injury right through to residential care.

What you'll be working:

Location:  Hothfield

Hours: 30.00

Working on a rota basis, working 4 days out of 7,includes working weekends.

Salary: £25,791.23 (FTE) per annum, pro rata

What you'll be doing:

• Adopt a professional approach to patient / resident care at all times.
• Be required to develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues, visitors, carers, members of the multi-disciplinary care team and senior professional and managerial staff.
• Conform at all times to the Policies and Procedures of the Company, with particular regard to confidentiality, financial and administrative responsibilities and prevention of healthcare associated infection (HCAI); this includes a requirement for rigorous and consistent compliance with policies for hand hygiene, use of personal protective equipment and safe disposals of sharps (where deemed relevant to the role).
• Leading the housekeeping team onsite and creating a 5* private hospital environment.
• Maintain and support all quality initiatives and objectives introduced into the organisation.
• To be familiar and comply with the service Business Continuity Plan in case of an emergency.
• Take personal responsibility for ensuring that The Active Group resources are used efficiently and with minimum wastage.
• Have access to a wide range of confidential information about patients, staff and the Active Care Group which must not be divulged to any unauthorised person in any circumstances at any time in accordance with the Company’s policies and procedures in accordance with Information Governance and the Data Protection Act 2018 and General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).
