We are looking for a female live-in support worker to join our lovely client in the Gosport area and become a valued part of her support team.

About the client:

Our client is a lovely lady in her late 20s who has Cerebral Palsy, which affects her movement and coordination, along with Autism and Anxiety. She is looking for a kind, friendly and compassionate female live-in support worker who can provide person-centred support while also becoming a positive and trusted part of her daily life.

She is a caring and thoughtful person who enjoys spending time with her family, having a good laugh and enjoying friendly banter with her support staff. Good communication is particularly important to her, and she enjoys meaningful conversations with people who take the time to listen and get to know her.  She particularly enjoys music, with Pink being a favourite! She also has a much-loved dog who lives with her parents, and she enjoys visiting them to spend time with her dog.

The ideal support worker will be warm, approachable and genuinely enjoy meaningful conversations, having a laugh and building a strong relationship with the client. A sense of humour, patience and a caring personality are important, as the aim is to create a relaxed, happy and supportive home environment where she feels comfortable and valued.

When you'll be working:

  • Either 1 week on, 1 week off or 2 weeks on 2 weeks off

What you'll be doing:

As a Live-In Support Worker, your role will include:

  • Providing personal care and support with day-to-day activities.
  • Supporting the client with her morning and evening routines.
  • Preparing meals and drinks, taking into account her preferences and dietary needs.
  • Helping with household duties, including light cleaning, laundry and keeping the home tidy.
  • Accompanying her when going out and about, including visits to her parents and spending time with her dog.
  • Providing companionship, conversation and emotional support.
  • Supporting her to maintain independence and choice wherever possible.
  • Building a trusting and positive relationship while providing patient, respectful and person-centred support.

*Please note we are recruiting a Female Support Worker due to a genuine occupational requirement of the person we support therefore this role is exempt from the Equality Act 2010 Part Schedule 9
