About this role

Are you looking for a role with 12-hour day shifts?

Would you love a rewarding role supporting a client with complex care needs in her own home?

Active Assistance – Specialist Complex Care at Home Across the UK

For over 30 years, we’ve been providing compassionate, person-centred care that makes a genuine difference to individuals and their families across England.

Our approach is simple: supporting people to live safely, comfortably and as independently as possible in the place they call home.

We’re now looking for a Female Support Worker to join our dedicated care team, supporting our client in her home in Great Haywood.

This is a rewarding opportunity to support one individual as part of a consistent care team, with regular weekly shifts and rotas planned in advance. Although the role is offered on a flexible zero-hours contract, the position is ongoing and typically provides a stable working pattern with the same client.

Meet the Client

Our client is a warm and friendly lady who lives in Great Haywood with her husband and much-loved dog, who is an important part of her life.

She lives with Non-Fluent Progressive Aphasia Syndrome, which affects her speech, swallowing and mobility. As she is non-verbal, it’s important that her Support Workers take the time to get to know her, understand how she communicates and ensure her choices, wishes and preferences are always respected.

She enjoys listening to music, watching films and spending time with others. She values having people around her who are patient, positive and supportive, and who will take the time to build a trusting relationship with her.

When You'll Be Working

What You'll Be Doing

You’ll provide person-centred support with:

What You'll Have

  • A kind and caring nature
  • Flexibility and reliability
  • Good communication skills
  • A patient and person-centred approach
  • A genuine interest in supporting someone to live life on their own terms

What to Look Forward To

  • Up to £13.25 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications
