About this role
Come and join one of the UK’s largest providers in complex care. We proudly employ over 4000+ people - no matter what your experience, we have jobs for everyone.
Active Neuro, our specialist division of Active Care Group, is transforming neurorehabilitation in the UK. We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Lead Physiotherapist to join our team at The Laurels in Lincoln, working two days per week.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Physiotherapist with experience in neurological rehabilitation to take a lead role in delivering high-quality, person-centred care while overseeing the development of the physiotherapy service.
The part-time nature of this role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced Physiotherapist seeking greater flexibility, whether to complement existing commitments, support a better work-life balance or maintain a varied portfolio career, while still making a meaningful contribution to a specialist rehabilitation service.
You will lead on specialist assessments and treatment planning, provide clinical leadership and work closely with the multidisciplinary team (MDT) to ensure individuals receive effective, evidence-based rehabilitation.
If you are an experienced Physiotherapist looking for a flexible, part-time leadership opportunity where you can use your clinical expertise to shape and develop a service, we would love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead specialist physiotherapy assessments and develop, deliver and review individualised, evidence-based treatment programmes.
- Take responsibility for the development and management of the physiotherapy service, maintaining high standards of clinical care and service delivery.
- Provide clinical leadership, guidance and support to physiotherapy colleagues, including coordinating induction, training and professional development.
- Work collaboratively within the MDT, contributing to holistic rehabilitation planning, risk management and service development.
- Lead and participate in clinical audits, research and service improvements to promote evidence-based practice.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and outcome measures, ensuring effective communication and handover within the MDT.
- Liaise with families, carers and other professionals to support a coordinated, person-centred approach to rehabilitation.
- Ensure compliance with professional standards, clinical governance requirements and organisational policies.
About You
You will be a qualified Physiotherapist, registered with the HCPC, with significant post-qualification experience and a background in neurological rehabilitation, including brain injury and other complex neurological conditions. Experience, knowledge or a keen interest in Functional Neurological Disorder (FND) is also preferred. You will be confident taking a lead within a clinical team and passionate about delivering high-quality, person-centred care.
You will also have:
- Strong clinical assessment, reasoning and treatment planning skills, with experience managing complex rehabilitation needs.
- Proven leadership skills, with the ability to support colleagues, drive service development and promote best practice.
- Experience working autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Knowledge of clinical governance, safeguarding and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication, organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- A flexible, proactive approach and a commitment to continuous professional development.
We also want to ensure that individuals with disabilities are provided reasonable facilities to participate in job applications or interviews to perform essential job functions. To support this, we are a Disability Confident employer.
