Live in Support Woker - East Grinstead

Are you an experienced and compassionate Support Worker looking for a rewarding live-in opportunity supporting a male client living with a spinal cord injury?

We are looking for a compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Live-In Support Worker to provide high-quality, person-centred care and support to a male client living helping him maintain his independence, dignity, and quality of life in his own home.

Meet the client:

Our client is a gentleman who lives with his wife in their beautiful country home in East Grinstead.

He values his independence and enjoys taking an active role in directing his own care and support. Having choice and control over his daily routine is very important to him, so you will need to be someone who listens, communicates well and respects his preferences.

He enjoys making the most of the sunshine and spending time outdoors, including relaxing and sunbathing when the weather allows. He particularly enjoys the warmer, brighter months and is less fond of the darker days of winter!

When he isn't enjoying the outdoors, he likes to keep his mind active with Sudoku and enjoys following sport — particularly rugby, football and cricket.

Building a positive and trusting relationship with him will be an important part of your role. You'll support him in a way that enables him to remain in control of his care, maintain his independence and feel respected, valued and listened to.

When you'll be working:

• 2 weeks on 2 weeks off

In this role, you’ll support one individual with complex needs as part of a consistent care team, with regular weekly shifts and rotas planned in advance. While the role is offered on a flexible zero-hours contract, the work is ongoing and typically provides a stable working pattern with the same client.
