Active Assistance are recruiting a BSL Interpreter Level 3, to aid communication for our brand new client, a young boy who is deaf, autistic and displays challenging behaviour. He lives in a residential children's home and goes to school.

He is supported by Support Workers, however we are looking to recruit an interpreter to support our clients communication during school (and travel to and from school). You will be working alongside the Support Workers who will be responsible for the client's care, you will solely be there for the communication side.

 

Shifts:

• 40 hours a week
• Monday - Friday 
• 8 hours a day (exact shift times to be confirmed but will be approx 8am-4pm)
• Full Time

 

In this role, you’ll support one individual with complex needs as part of a consistent care team, with regular weekly shifts and rotas planned in advance. While the role is offered on a flexible zero-hours contract, the work is ongoing and typically provides a stable working pattern with the same client.
