We're looking for compassionate and reliable individuals to join our team, supporting children with complex health and care needs in their family homes across Eastbourne, Pevensey and Hailsham.

As a Children's Support Worker, you'll play a vital role in helping children and young people live fulfilling lives, both at home and in their local communities.

 

What You'll Be Doing

You will provide person-centred support to children and young people with a range of needs, including:

  • Complex clinical needs
  • Autism
  • Epilepsy
  • ADHD
  • Behaviours that may challenge

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting children in their family homes
  • Assisting with daily routines and activities
  • Encouraging independence and social engagement
  • Accompanying children on community outings and activities
  • Building positive relationships with children and their families

This role offers the opportunity to make a genuine difference while working as part of a dedicated and supportive team.

Shifts Available

Typical shifts include:

  • Weekday evenings: 3:30pm–6:30pm or 4:00pm–8:00pm
  • Weekends – Saturdays and Sundays (day shifts e.g. 10am-7pm / 10am-4pm / 9.30am-5.30pm)

Monthly rotas are provided in advance, giving you visibility of your shifts well ahead of time.

In this role, you’ll support one or two individuals with complex needs as part of a consistent care team, with regular weekly shifts and rotas planned in advance. While the role is offered on a flexible zero-hours contract, the work is ongoing and typically provides a stable working pattern with the same client.

We're looking for caring, patient and dependable individuals who are passionate about supporting children and young people. Previous care experience is beneficial, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are equally important, as full training will be provided.
