About this role

Please note that for this role we require candidates that hold a full UK drivers’ licence to be able to drive the client’s automatic vehicle.

Are you looking for a part time role, for Tuesday and Thursday evenings (4pm-8pm) and Sunday afternoons (12pm-6pm)?

Would you love a rewarding role, supporting our 11 year old client with autism in his family home, taking him out in the community and taking him swimming?

Come and join Active Assistance.

We'd like you to join us as a Children's Support Worker supporting our young client in Wavertree, Liverpool.

What you'll be doing:

This role is to support our 11 year old client who has autism, epilepsy and challenging behaviour in his family home and taking him out into the community. You must be willing to go swimming with him.

You will be working alongside another Support Worker for all your shifts (2:1 care).

We require a candidate that holds a full UK drivers’ licence to be able to drive the client’s automatic vehicle.

Shifts:

  • Tuesdays and Thursdays (4pm-8pm) and Sundays (12pm-6pm)
  • If you are looking for more hours, we have lots of other children’s packages in Liverpool you can also work in alongside

In this role, you’ll support one individual with complex needs as part of a consistent care team, with regular weekly shifts and rotas planned in advance. While the role is offered on a flexible zero-hours contract, the work is ongoing and typically provides a stable working pattern with the same client.

What we can offer you:

  • Up to £13.50 per hour (depending on experience) - you’ll also receive an additional 14.07% holiday pay on every hour worked
  • Advanced monthly rotas
  • Excellent Induction Training
  • Ongoing support from our Children's Care Manager
  • Paid DBS Check
  • A Nest Personal Pension account
  • We recognise outstanding Active Behaviours via the Active Awards programme
  • Refer a Friend Scheme and earn yourself up to £1000 by recommending someone you know
  • ……and, of course, the support and guidance of our qualified clinical and business leadership teams so that you can really develop your career with Active Care in the Home

At Active Assistance we want everyone to feel welcome and supported. We encourage applications from people of all backgrounds and experiences. If you need any reasonable adjustments during the recruitment or interview process, just let us know and we’d be very happy to discuss this with you.
