We'd like you to join us as a Senior Support Worker at our service Loyd House in Northampton.

At Loyd House we have a strong focus on therapy, care and quality of life. We provide specialist post acute rehabilitation, as well as management of long term neurological conditions. We’re committed to helping every person we support feel safe, happy, empowered enabling them to live the best life possible.

What you'll be working:

  • 37.625 hours
  • Full time
  • £26,999.06 (FTE) Per annum (Pro rata)
  • Working every other weekend
  • Predominantly days with possible night cover
  • We follow a rota basis.

What you'll be doing:

provide all service users with the highest standards of care and support.   Ensuring service users are treated with respect, dignity and in a way that enables and promotes their independence as individuals.  Ensuring Active Care Group policies and procedures are adhered to and requirements of the Care Quality Commission are met.  Senior Support workers will also be responsible for ensuring service users’ needs are met through ad-hoc shift leading and mentoring less experienced employees through on-the-job training.

What you'll have:

  • Strong organisational, time management, planning and communication skills.
  • Flexible, professional, and positive approach to multi-site working.
  • Level 3 NVQ in Health & Social Care or be willing to work towards.
  • Proven reliability in terms of full attendance and timekeeping.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and as an individual.
  • Self-confidence and ability to manage challenging situations
  • Driving License would be preferable
  • Ability to address and respond to employee issues in a fair and consistent manner.
  • Successful candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS
