We'd like you to join us as a Senior support worker at our services Mayfield road based in Sutton.
Located in Sutton, Mayfield Road is a 12-bedroom residential service supporting adults with autism, learning disabilities and other complex conditions. We are committed to helping every individual we support to feel safe, happy, empowered enabling them to live the best life possible.
What you'll be working:
Your hours are based on a rota working every other weekend.
- Full time hours
- 42 hours per week
What you'll be doing:
- Effectively lead the shift by ensuring appropriate staffing levels are maintained at all times.
- Shift/people management
- Addressing staff issues such as timekeeping and attendance in a timely manner;
- conducting regular supervisions for staff team;
- Ensure that each service user has a key worker and that all aspects of the key worker role is implemented;
- Ensure that all service users have up-to-date risk assessments and person centered plans in place and review and update as required with the service manager;
- Monitoring performance levels of staff team and identifying areas for improvement on an individual basis;
- Mentoring staff team to continuously develop their skills;
- Deliver on-the-job training and guidance;
- Oversee the preparation of medical/neurology appointments and letters.
- Cover all aspects of the support health care assistant role as and when required to work on the floors in order to meet the needs of the service.
- Observe and operate at all times in accordance with the Company’s policies and procedures.
- To be part of the on call team.
- Responsible for attending and completing all mandatory training.
- To undertake any other duties appropriate and as reasonably required to meet the changing needs of the service and ensuring that service user needs and business objectives are met.
What you'll have:
- A passion for care
- Desirable; Minimum of 1 years` experience in the Health and Social care sector
- Desirable; Level 3 NVQ or QCF Diploma in Health & Social Care or be willing to work towards
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Great Communication Skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and as an individual.
- Great leadership skills.
