We have an amazing opportunity for Support Workers to join our caring and support team at our Holybourne Hospital in Roehampton, an Adult Mental Health hospital for men and women with severe and complex mental health conditions.
Based in Roehampton, London, we provide high quality intensive treatment in a clinically safe, caring, and secure environment for patients across specialist wards.
The service currently have 3 wards, Barnes ward -male acute -9 beds, Kingston Ward- female acute- 9 beds, Richmond Ward- male acute- 10 beds. The service will be opening a 9-bedded female Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) this year 2026.
What you'll be working:
- Full time 37.63 hours per week
- Monday to Sunday shifts
- Candidates need to work day & night shifts
- Day shifts 08:00AM - 20:15PM, night shifts 20:00PM - 08:15AM
What you'll be doing:
- Build relationships with patients, which are open and two way
- Support patients to undertake their rehabilitation programme
- Establish methods of communication with patients, reducing barriers when necessary
- Assist patients with mealtimes where necessary
- Support with activities of daily living and personal care when needed
- Communicate any issues to the clinical team
- Accurately report and/or record work activities
What you'll have:
- A genuine interest in providing the best person centre care possible for our young people
- The ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- Experience working within the care sector / mental health would be an advantage but not essential
