We'd like you to join us as a Maintenance officer at our Blackheath rehabilitation Centre.

At Blackheath Brain Injury Rehabilitation Centre, we are specialists in the treatment of patients over the age of 18 with physical and cognitive impairments and/or neuropsychiatric disorders resulting from a brain injury or other neurological condition. We support our patients through assessment, rehabilitation, support and care across two wards.

What you'll be working:

  • Full Time hours 37.5 hours per week.
  • Monday to Saturday, 5 days a week, 8am to 4pm
  • £27,590.16 (FTE) per annum pro rata

What you'll be doing:

To provide maintenance and upkeep of the Hospital buildings including painting and decorating, repairs to fixtures and fittings and furniture, routine testing of the security and Fire Detection.

• Equipment, Emergency Lighting and Fire Exits, monitoring of gas and electricity systems, water systems and sewage systems, carrying our safety inspections on electrical equipment and maintaining inventory records for the same.

• Maintenance of all roads and pathways including cold tar repairs, cleaning and snow and ice clearance and prevention operations.

• The recording of all data associated with Estates Operations IAW the Estates manual.

• Maintenance of all grounds and lawns using the plant and equipment supplied and the care and maintenance of all specialist Estates equipment including PPE.

• The cleaning and general maintenance of the hospital vehicle and ensuring that specialist maintenance is carried out at the required intervals.

• Monitoring and handling of all waste and ensuring compliance with waste regulations.

• Stock and storage of all equipment and maintenance and cleanliness of all storage areas.

• Logistics operations / transporting where required.

Key Accountabilities:
