We have an amazing opportunity for a Housekeeper to join us at our residential service,Park House in Bedford.

What you'll be working:

~ Full time/Part time to choose from
~ Full time Days - 40hrs per week
~ FTE Salary: £26,884.93 per annum (pro rata)

What you'll be doing:

  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout Park House, including Residents’ bedrooms, communal areas, bathrooms, dining areas, offices, therapy spaces, and clinical environments.
  • Carry out daily cleaning duties in accordance with cleaning schedules, infection prevention and control standards, and organisational policies and procedures.
  • Complete deep cleaning tasks as directed by the Deputy Manager, Team Leaders, or Senior Team Leaders.
  • Ensure cleaning equipment, materials, and machinery are used safely, appropriately, and stored securely after use.
  • Follow COSHH regulations and safe handling procedures for cleaning chemicals and hazardous substances at all times.
  • Adhere to infection prevention and control procedures, including correct use of PPE, colour coding systems, and safe disposal of waste.
  • Maintain cleaning cupboards, storage areas, and housekeeping trolleys in a clean, organised, and fully stocked condition.
  • Report maintenance concerns, environmental hazards, damaged equipment, or health and safety risks promptly to the appropriate senior staff member.
  • Support the service in maintaining a safe, homely, and comfortable environment that promotes Residents’ dignity, wellbeing, and quality of life.
  • Respect Residents’ privacy, dignity, choice, and personal belongings whilst carrying out duties within occupied areas.

What you'll have:

  • Basic education including English and Maths, desirable.
  • COSHH, Infection Prevention and Control, or Health and Safety training, desirable.
  • Willingness to complete mandatory training and ongoing learning relevant to the role.
  • Previous domestic, housekeeping, or cleaning experience, desirable.
  • Experience working within a healthcare, residential care, rehabilitation, or care home environment, desirable.
  • Experience working within infection prevention and control procedures, desirable.
  • Experience using cleaning equipment and maintaining cleaning standards within a professional environment, desirable.
